Our take

With the S26 out, last year's S25 has become one of the smartest flagship buys around — you give up almost nothing that matters day to day.

Pros

+Snapdragon 8 Elite is still flagship-fast in 2026 — it handles anything you throw at it, including on-device Galaxy AI features
+Compact 6.2-inch size is genuinely pocketable, a rarity among modern flagships
+Seven years of promised OS and security updates means buying it a year after launch still leaves long software life

Cons

−4,000mAh battery is the smallest in the S25 lineup — heavy users will be reaching for a charger by evening
−Charging tops out at 25W wired, noticeably slower than similarly priced Chinese rivals

Best for: Anyone who wants a compact Android flagship at a real discount now that the Galaxy S26 has pushed S25 prices down.

Alternatives to consider: Google Pixel 9, Apple iPhone 16e
