Our take
One of the cheapest possible fixes for a real health problem -- an easy first buy.
Pros
- +Stretches meals up to 10x longer, which helps reduce gulping, vomiting, and bloat risk in fast eaters
- +Comes in multiple sizes and ridge difficulties, so you can match it to your dog's snout and determination
- +BPA-free and top-rack dishwasher safe -- no hand-scrubbing kibble grease out of the maze
Cons
- −Hard plastic ridges frustrate flat-faced breeds like Pugs and Frenchies, who may give up or scrape their noses
- −The base is non-slip but not weighted, so determined dogs learn to flip the whole bowl over
Best for: Dogs that inhale their entire meal in under a minute and then look at you like nothing happened.
Alternatives to consider: Dogit Go Slow Anti-Gulping Bowl, Northmate Green Interactive Feeder
