Our take

Buying in July is actually the smart move — it's cheap and in stock now, while prices and availability get worse at the first fall cold snap.

Pros

+1500W ceramic element warms a small room quickly for barely over $30
+Compact 9-inch frame with a carry handle fits under a desk or on a nightstand
+Decade-plus track record with tens of thousands of reviews — a known quantity, not a gamble

Cons

−No tip-over auto shutoff, a real safety gap versus newer heaters at similar prices
−Only meaningfully heats small spaces (around 300 sq ft) — it won't keep up in a large or drafty room

Best for: Budget shoppers who want dependable spot heat for a home office, dorm, or small bedroom.

Alternatives to consider: Vornado VH200 Vortex Heater, Amazon Basics 1500W Ceramic Space Heater
